Kim Kardashian said she cried after the late Tobin Williams compared her infamous 2013 Met Gala dress to one he wore in the movie “Mrs. Doubtfire.”
On the latest episode of “The Kardashians,” which was filmed before the 2023 Met Gala, Kardashian defended the floral look she wore in 2013.
At the time, Kardashian’s outfit was mocked by people on social media, including Williams, who shared a side-by-side composite of Kardashian at the Met Gala, and his character in “Mrs. Doubt” sporting a similar look.
“I think I wore it better,” the late comedian tweeted on May 8, 2013.
“I cried when Robin Williams roasted me and posted, ‘Who wore it better?’ Me and Mrs. Doubtfire,” Kardashian said on Thursday’s episode of “The Kardashians.”
“I cried when I got home, but now I love it,” she added.
The “American Horror Story” star was pregnant with her first child, daughter North West, at the time of the 2013 Met Gala.
Kardashian previously said in a 2019 YouTube video for Vogue that she cried over the memes made about the dress at the time.
However, on the new “Kardashians” episode, Schiaparelli creative director Daniel Roseberry also said he loved the floral dress.
However, Scott Disick and her daughter North, who were also in the room, were not convinced.

North, meanwhile, said: “I really don’t like that one.”
North said she liked the custom Thierry Mugler dress that Kardashian wore to the 2019 Met Gala.

Earlier in the episode, North also roasted the pearl gown Kardashian wore to the 2023 Met Gala.
“It looks like she’s a Hawaiian girl with her dress all ripped,” West said. “I like the pearls. I just don’t like that it looks like from the Dollar Store.”
