Naomi Campbell Approaching 50, Shares Her Health Tips
The 49-year-old revealed her unusual eating habits and workout routines on a recent episode of Lorraine
Every once in a while it is tremendously healthy to cleanse the body by going on intermittent fasting… this fact was confirmed in Naomi Campbell’s recent interview on Lorraine.
Naomi Campbell is one of world’s best models, currently 49 years of age. When asked what she felt about the approaching 50 years of age milestone, she was rather excited about it and shared some health tips on what has been working for her.
‘I’m so embracing it, I can’t wait,’ she told Dan Wootton.‘I tell people I’m 49 and they don’t believe it. I feel good.’However, she admitted it can be hard when she’s doing fashion shows with her friends’ daughters.
‘But I embrace that too! I think it’s great and I just think they’re giving me a helping hand when I’ve got to run around and come back down for the finale and it’s all down the steps and they’re like “we’ll help you” and I look up and it’s daughters of my friends, and I kind of feel that’s special in a way,’
Campbell once told Oprah Winfrey back in 2010 that she goes on a similarly restrictive diet, the Master Cleanse, three times a year. The program, also known as the Lemonade Diet, is food-free, and only consists of three drinks — a lemonade with cayenne pepper and maple syrup, a salt water drink and a laxative tea. It shouldn’t be surprising though when the U.K. native model confirmed that she’s a vegetarian and added that she “juice cleanses two or three times per week.”
“The most I’ve ever done it for is 18 days,” she said of the Master Cleanse. “It’s good just to clean out your body once in a while.
Not that Naomi Campbell keeps fit just by fasting, she goes training and exercises as well although she confirmed she just started doing it few years ago.
“I got into working out two years ago,” she said on Lorraine. “I like it. Not so much machines. Like, circuit training. It’s not the same. I need to keep doing different things and I have a great trainer called Joe that I love working out with. I also work out here at [London gym] BXR, and kind of a community of trainers that come under Joe that … work with me around the world when I travel, so I get to keep it up. Mostly also, it’s good for your mind.”
